Antonello Perrini Wins Ring While on Vacation in United States
PokerNews is in town to live report both the High Roller and Main Event here at the World Series of Poker Circuit Planet Hollywood, but those are just two gold ring events that will have played out by the end of the series.
In Event #5: $400 Pot-Limit Omaha, 136 runners created a $44,880 prize pool that was paid out to the top 21 players. Among those to cash were Jon Turner (3rd - $5,092), Steve Foutty (10th - $999), Michael Trivett (15th - $662), and Jeff Musiello (21st - $596).
In the end, it was Italy’s Antonello Perrini, who was in the US for vacation, defeating David Brookshire in heads-up play to win the title for $11,891 and his first gold ring.
“I don’t know how I did it, but I am very happy,” said the 31-year-old Perrini.
