Day 1a of Event 12: $1,700 Main Event of the 2019 WSOP Circuit Planet Hollywood is in the books after fifteen levels of play. A total of 338 entry slips were sold for this flight but when the chips stopped flying, just 65 players remained.

At the top of the counts is Tim McDermott with 392,000. McDermott has over $450,000 in total live earnings on his resume including multiple final tables. He has been having a great year and he cashed ten times at the 2019 World Series of Poker. He got extremely close to winning his first bracelet but he ended up getting second in Event#10: $1,500 Dealers choice. He will be looking to top his year with his first recorded victory and his first Circuit ring.

McDermott is closely followed by Sohale Khalili with 382,000. Khalili was slowly building throughout the day but he really boosted his stack during the last level of the night when he was responsible for a couple of eliminations. Khalili is no stranger at the WSOP Circuit. In fact, he already has three Circuit rings under his belt and he will be going for his fourth one.

David Towson rounds up the top three with 357,000 and other top stacks include Michael Melone (338,0000), Cheang Yoo (313,500), and Kevin Song (310,000).

Other notable players to advance to Day 2 include bracelet winners David Miscikowski (248,500), Jeff Madsen (210,500), Ben Yu (114,000), Chris Wallace (113,500), and Eric Baldwin (65,500).

Some other big names who attempted to move on from this flight but failed in their attempt include Scott Clements, Aram Zobian, Dylan Wilkerson, Mike Del Vecchio, Matt Affleck, and Molly Mossey. They will have the option to try again on Day 1b, which will get underway on Sunday November 24th at noon if they wish to advance.

The players who survived Day 1a will combine with the survivors of Day 1b on Monday November 25th at noon to continue to battle it out.

Just like Day 1a, the PokerNews Live Reporting Team will keep you abreast of all of the Day 1b action.
