Russell Takes Big Pot From MacDonnell

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With {8-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts} on the board, Marc MacDonnell bet 32,000 from the big blind, Bruce Russell called in the cutoff, and Dan Colpoys folded on the button.

MacDonnel bet 94,000 on the {q-Clubs} river, enough to put Russell nearly all in with a call. Russell did make the call, and it was the right one, as Russell's {9-}{9-} was best against the attempted bluff with {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for MacDonnell.

De Silva Doubles Through McDermott

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Marc MacDonnell opened to 24,000 from the cutoff, and Upeshka De Silva very slowly slid his 133,000 stack into the middle for a three-bet shove.

Tim McDermott re-shoved from the big blind, having De Silva covered. MacDonnell folded.

Upeshka De Silva: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Tim McDermott: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Board: {6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

De Silva hit a set of sixes on the flop, improved to a full boat on the river, and doubled up.
