Jason Tang Wins Event #11: $400 NLH One-Day
PokerNews is in town to live report the $1,700 Main Event here at the World Series of Poker Circuit IP Biloxi, but that is just one of the gold ring events that will have played out by the end of the series.
In Event #11: $400 No-Limit Hold’em One-Day, 125 runners battled it out for a piece of the $41,250 prize pool. That was paid out to the top 19 players including Stanley Williams (10th - $791), Michael Lech (12th - $791), Robert Cheung (15th - $684), and Adam Swales (19th - $562).
In the end, Jason Tang beat Kataka Eaton in heads-up play to win the tournament for $11,241 and his first gold ring.
“First ring, it feels amazing, finally,” he said after the win. “I have five bubbles, but it finally happened. I checked one off my bucket list, now I need a bracelet.”
He continued: “I chipped up normal, then had some nice spots. I haven’t seen aces the whole entire series and I finally got a big hand with aces. That’s what really catapulted me at the final table.”
