Day 1b of the WSOP Circuit Baltimore Main Event Kicks Off at 11 a.m.
The last starting flight in the WSOP Circuit Baltimore $1,700 Main Event is set to kick off at 11 a.m. with a larger field expected than the 141 that participated for Day 1a. Everyone in Day 1b will be chasing the current chipleader Ryan Jones who bagged an immense 467,000 in the first starting flight of the tournament.
The 141 entry slips sold on Day 1a were trimmed down to just 23 after just over 15 levels of play as they finished the first night during the early part of level 16. Some other stacks on the bigger side of things to advance from the first flight are Peter Vitantonio (307,500), Joseph Malebranche (274,000), Tim Faro (241,500), and Lara Eisenberg (235,500) who round out the top five.
This event features two starting flights and there is a $500,000 guarantee in the prize pool. Players will start with 30,000 in chips and they will have the option of one re-entry per flight, equaling a maximum of four entries. Day 1 will play through 16 levels or down to 16% of the field, whichever comes first. Levels 1 to 15 will be of 40 minutes each and levels 16+ will be of 60 minutes. There will be a 15-minute break every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break at the completion of Level 9. Registration will remain open until the start of Level 13.
The Main Event is the ninth ring event out of a total of 13 on the schedule for the WSOP Baltimore Circuit stop. Here is a look at the champions of this stop thus far.
