Franck Lelong Bubbles Last Table ($9,259)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Franck Lelong
Franck Lelong

Franck Lelong moved all-in for a little less than half a million under the gun with {a-}{j-} and Florian Geiger woke-up with {a-}{10-} and just a little more chips... to finish him in the Big Blind.

The spot was perfect to double-up but a {5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} board crucified the french who is still establishing his better score with his 10th position today.

Marchetti Shows The Bluff

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Anthony Marchetti
Anthony Marchetti

Anthony Marchetti raised it in the button with {j-}{8-} and called when Souhayl "Joël" Fjer 3-bet from the Small Blind.

Souhayl continued on a {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and was raised to 220,000 chips by Anthony. Souhayl completed for 140,000 chips and there was no action on the turn {a-Hearts}.

The river {3-Spades} was checked one more time by Souhayl who held {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Now living in Swtizerland after playing for years in the parisian club, Fjer tanked a lot when Anthony Marchetti asked him his stack by going all-in.

When he folded, Marchetti showed a pure bluff...

Main Event, High Roller... the German busted in 11st position just before the Final Table all week long in Marrakech.

Michael Allmrodt reshoved 350,000 chips from the Big Blind after Javier Tsunamy bet 60,000 chips in the button. Javier called for a showdown.

Michael : {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Javier : {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The board fell {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Michael let Florian Geiger represents Germany for the conclusion of the Main Event...

Abgar Triples then Busts (12nd - $6839)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Karim Abgar
Karim Abgar

Karim Abgar was playing his first poker tournament with a 4-figures buy-in. He invited a friend to Marrakech for his birthday and decided to jump in the Main Event at the last minute to share that moment with him. His friend, Thomas Meignan, finished 20th on saturday !

Karim has done a little better and he has dreamed of a comeback. After his stack dwindled to 2 blinds, he found a triple-up to 200,000 with {k-}{3-} against {a-}{8-}. The board fell {9-}{6-}{9-}{j-}{3-} with a beautiful river for the french player.

The river was cruel on the very next hand. After David Vergnes raised it in middle position, just on his right, Karim engaged his 7 Blinds with {a-}{8-}... only to get called by {a-}{6-} and be eliminated on the river !

Board : {7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts}

"Thanks for the game, that was fun", said Karim before going to the cashier to collect 65,000 dirhams.

Jose Luis at the end of Day 1A

Jose Luis Reconquista dominated the first flight of the Main Event, multiplying his starting stack by more than 16 times !

The spanish player busted 1 minutes after the last moroccan standing, he earned 9,000 dirhams more than Ali Mechiche in the process.

Jose Luis defended {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} in the Big Blind after Javier Tsunamy raised it in the Cutoff. Tsunamy continued on a flop {5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and was more than happy to call with {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for a total of 245,000 chips after Reconquista check-raised him all-in.

Reconquista is still waiting for his draw to hit !

Ali Mechiche eliminated in 14th ($5,892)

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ali Mechiche
Ali Mechiche

Ali Mechiche open-shove in the small blind for 180,000 chips and was snap-called by Florian Geiger in the Big Blind.

Ali : {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Florian : {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

An Ace on the flop ended the dream of the last moroccan player standing. Ali earned 56,000 dirhams for his performance...
