Stuart Tuvey Eliminated in 15th Place ($7,650)
Stuart Tuvey went all in from early position and action folded around to Paul Chai, who was in the small blind. Chai asked for a count, which was totaled to be 132,000.
"Raise!" he then announced, throwing out three newly-added pink T100,000 chips, coming over the top for 308,000 due to the 8,000 he had in the pot from his small blind. He cleared the way and hands were tabled.
Stuart Tuvey:
Paul Chai:
"You're way behind!" said Chai in a friendly manner as the two hands were visible on the felt.
"Not way behind," objected Tuvey. His statement was true but not for long as the flop came . Though it gave him an open-ended straight draw, Chai now had top pair, top kicker and had increased his equity in the hand as a result.
"Black card," said Chai as the turn came .
"Pair the board," he added before the river fell .
With both of his wishes fulfilled, Tuvey found himself with the second-best hand and tapped the felt, exchanging mutual wishes of a well-played tournament as he stood up and received a payout slip.
