Scott Chips Up After Break

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante

Ian Steinman was on the button and three-bet to 3,300 over a hijack open to 700 and a call from the cutoff. Jason Scott cold four-bet out of the small blind to 11,000. Action folded back around to Steinman and he thought for a while before pushing his cards forward onto the felt, resulting in the hand being sent to Scott.

A few hands later, Scott opened from the hijack and was called by players on the button and in the big blind. The flop came {q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and both the big blind and Scott checked. The player on the button fired 1,000, getting a fold from the big blind. Scott called.

The turn came {4-Spades} and Scott again checked to his opponent on the button, who continued with another 1,700. Scott called. The river fell {5-Spades} and action went check-check to take the hand to showdown.

Scott tabled {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for two pair, eights and deuces, and his opponent mucked to earn him a second pot in the first same orbit.
