Lancaster Ends Haley's Night
There was about 35,000 in a heads up pot on the river between William Haley in the big blind and Mike Lancaster in the hijack. The board read and Haley, first to act, went all in.
Lancaster motioned for a count and the dealer complied, cutting out Haley's stack and announcing a total of 25,900. Lancaster thought for about 35 seconds and then tossed in chips to call.
Haley told Lancaster he made a good call, further mentioning that he had air as Lancaster sat, waiting for him to turn up his cards. A few seconds later, Lancaster showed and Haley tossed his cards in face down.
Due to the all-in situation, the dealer exposed Haley's hand, showing for nothing more than queen high as he got up from the table and the dealer sent Lancaster the pot, bringing him firmly over six figures in chips with less than two hours of play left for the evening.
