Pupillo and Bai Tangle Again

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

James Pupillo raised to 145,000 from the small blind, and Richard Bai three-bet to 450,000 from the big blind. Pupillo called.

Pupillo check-called a bet of 350,000 from Bai on the {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, and the {j-Clubs} fell on the turn. Pupillo checked, and Bai bet 600,000. Pupillo called again.

The {q-Hearts} fell on the river, and Pupillo jammed for 1.535 million. Bai shook his head and sighed, then slammed his fist against the rail. He went into the tank for over five minutes, with Pupillo asking him, "Do you have aces?" a few minutes into the tank.

After five minutes, Pupillo called the clock, and Bai folded a second later.

Pupillo Doubles Through Bai

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Matthew Levin raised to 125,000 from the cutoff, and James Pupillo three-bet shoved for 1.405 million on the button. Richard Bai called in the small blind, and Levin folded.

James Pupillo: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Richard Bai: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

"Good hand, bud," Pupillo told Bai.

The {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop and {2-Hearts} turn were bricks for Pupillo, but once again, the worst hand caught up on the river, as the {j-Clubs} gave Pupillo a set and the victory.

"Bad beat again, eh?" Henry Zou said.

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Henry Zou raised to 125,000 from the cutoff, and Richard Bai made the call in the big blind.

Bai check-called a 225,000 bet from Zou on the {5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop, then check-called another 400,000 from Zou on the {4-Spades} turn.

Bai checked a third time on the {9-Clubs} river, and Zou announced a bet of 300,000.

"Three-hundred?" Bai said with a sigh. He called after a few moments thought, only to muck after Zou tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Jorden Helstern Eliminated in 5th Place ($34,460)

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jorden Helstern
Jorden Helstern

One hand after Nikolas Stone's elimination, Matthew Levin raised to 125,000 from under the gun, and Jorden Helstern three-bet shoved for 1.2 million in the big blind. Levin called.

Jorden Helstern: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Matthew Levin: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Levin flopped a double gutter and the nut flush draw with the {10-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop, but the {7-Spades} turn left Helstern just one card away from a double. For the third consecutive time at the final table, however, the worst hand came on top in an all-in situation, as the {9-Clubs} fell on the river to send Helstern packing.

Richard Bai raised to 100,000 on the button, and Nikolas Stone three-bet to 350,000 from the small blind. Bai called.

Stone bet 350,000 on the {7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, and Bai called.

The {6-Hearts} fell on the turn, and Stone bet 550,000. Bai tanked for a minute before moving all in, and Stone flicked in a chip to call for his last 1.3 million total.

Nikolas Stone: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Richard Bai: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Bai needed a diamond or a five to best Stone's pair of jacks, and the {5-Clubs} river binked right off to put a bad beat on Stone.
