PLO Cash Game Player Justin Geary Ships a Ring Playing Same Game
The PokerNews Live Reporting Team is at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana in the Louisville area to live report the $1,700 Main Event; however, that is just one of more than a dozen gold ring events that have taken place over the past week. As such, we thought we’d profile some of the preliminary tournaments and those who struck it big.
Event #7: $400 Pot-Limit Omaha Rebuy saw 44 runners create a $40,220 prize pool that was paid out to the final seven.
In the end, Justin Geary of Lagrange, Kentucky bested Ross Schitter in heads-up play to win the title for $14,523 and his first gold ring.
"I normally play Omaha cash games, but I was about 70% sure I was going to win when Day 2 began," Geary said after his victory, which also awarded him 50 points towards the 2020 Global Casino Championship.
