Good Bet, Good Call

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Robert Georato and Dinh Ba were heads-up on the turn with the board reading {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Robert Georato led out for 175,000 from the big blind into a pot of around 500,000. Dinh Ba called and the {6-Diamonds} completed the board.

Georato checked this time and Ba pushed out a bet of 475,000. Georato went into the tank for nearly two minutes before making the call.

"Nice call," Ba said as he mucked his cards. The pot was pushed to Georato and he tabled {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for just king-high.

"That was a good bet," Georato said.

"And a good call," another player replied.

Born Binks Backdoor on River to Take Huge Pot

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

On a flop of {3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{a-Spades}, Billy Cashwell made a bet of about 200,000 and was raised all in by Scott Born. Cashwell called instantly and turned over the {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for trips while Born only had the {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} to give some broadway outs to Born and the river completed those outs when the {10-Spades} came off to complete the unlikely backdoor straight.

Born, who had stood up, sat back down when the river came and breathed a sigh of relief as Cashwell gave a frustrated exasperation as he had to cut out the chips to send to his right.

Maurice Hawkins Eliminated in 16th Place ($14,841)

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Maurice Hawkins
Maurice Hawkins

Coming back from the break, Maurice Hawkins shoved all in for a little over 500,000 from the hijack. Dann Turner called from the cutoff and the rest of the table folded.

Dann Turner: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Maurice Hawkins: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

Hawkins was cheering for a three but the flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} was alright for his hand too. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn was also safe for Hawkins but the {q-Spades} on the river was not. Turner paired his queen and Hawkins hit the rail in 16th place.

Hawkins on the Short Stack

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The action folded to Maurice Hawkins in the small blind who made it 130,000 to go. Dann Turner called from the big blind and the flop came {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Hawkins led out for 70,000 and Turner called to see the {a-Spades} on the turn.

Both players knuckled the table and the {7-Spades} completed the board. Hawkins fired out a min-bet of 60,000 and Turner looked him up. Hawkins tabled {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} but Turner showed {q-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a better kicker.

Brandon Livengood Eliminated in 17th Place ($14,841)

On a flop of {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, Rodney Seymour shoved all in and was snap-called by Brandon Livengood.

Brandon Livengood: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Rodney Seymour: {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Seymour wanted to see clubs, the turn was not one as it came the {k-Spades} but the river was as the {10-Clubs} came off to give Seymour the winning flush and give Livengood a no good set to end his tournament in 17th place.

Cashwell Flops a Boat

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Billy Cashwell raised it up from middle position and Brad Albrinck defended from the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and both players checked to the {k-Clubs} on the turn.

Albrinck and Cashwell checked it again and the {3-Spades} completed the board. Albrinck fired out a bet of 125,000 this time and Cashwell made it 600,000. Albrinck thought for a minute before making the call. Cashwell flipped over {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for a full house and Albrinck mucked his cards.

Steven Grybas Eliminated in 18th Place ($14,841)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Steven Grybas
Steven Grybas

Steven Grybas moved all in from early position with his short stack. He was called by Shawn McClanahan and everyone else folded.

Grybas's tournament life was at stake with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} against the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of McClanahan. The flop sent McClanahan into the lead as it came {6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. The turn {7-Diamonds} and the river {7-Spades} did nothing to save Grybas and he was eliminated in 18th place.
