Field Ready for WSOPC €1,650 Main Event Day 2
A total of 292 players remain on Day 2 of the €1,650 WSOPC Main Event and they will all be looking to have another strong day as they move towards a potential final table here at King's Casino, Rozvadov.
Best placed of the remaining players are Day 1 chip leaders Alexander Romme (310,500) & Markus Sturz (368,700).
However, a whole bunch of well-known players will be taking to the felt on Day 2, including two-time WSOPC ring-winner Eyal Bensimhon (250,500), who took down the €220 WSOP Circuit Deep Stack Open earlier this month for an additional €16,580.
Another ring-winner in with a chance of further glory is Martin Kabrhel (162,300), who narrowly missed out on another WSOPC ring, finishing third in the WSOPC €5,300 High Roller on Friday. Kabrhel has won WSOPC rings during visits to Rozvadov in 2016 and 2017, and will be looking for a third ring in three years when play gets underway later.
Other notable players still in on Day 2 include November Niner Vojtech Ruzicka (127,100), Marek Blasko (83,500), Bertrand Grospellier (63,100), Pierre Neuville (47,000), Martin Staszko (42,800), Michal Mrakes (35,000), Sebastian Langrock (24,000), along with WSOPC Rozvadov Main Event champion from April last year Marcin Chmielewski (82,900), along with final tablists Michal Schuh (61,200) and Jiri Horak (120,100).
Play resumes at 2 pm local time, with late registration and re-entry open until the start of play on Day 2. Stay tuned to PokerNews.com for full updates on the day's play as we get closer to crowning the latest WSOPC champion here in the Czech Republic.
