The Captain is Chipping Up Nicely
We came across the hand just in time to see four players going to a flop. Two players checked, William Underwood bet 9,000, Tom Franklin called and the other two players folded.
The turn came , Underwood checked and Franklin bet 22,000 - which was about 2/3 of his stack. Underwood hemmed and hawed for a few moments but ultimately decided to fold.
The table asked Franklin to show because the table was breaking at the end of the hand.
"If anyone can guess my hand I'll show," he replied.
"Ace-king?" Underwood asked.
"Hell no!" Franklin said. "Do you think I would call 9,000 on a draw?"
Another player at the table suggested he had queen-jack. Franklin smiled and showed for a flopped set.
