Chris Karambinis Eliminated in 16th Place ($7,262)

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

We only caught the tail end of the hand, but the players at the table filled us in on what happened. Kevin Eyster raised it up in early position, and Chris Karambinis shoved for his last 95,000. Lawrence Blazer then shoved all in for 200,000 total, and Eyster made the call.

Eyster: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Karambinis: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Blazer: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Blazer held the lead, but that quickly changed when the flop came {6-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Eyster was now in great position to secure a double knockout, but the turn brought the {9-Hearts}. This gave Blazer flush draw outs, and he hit one of them on the river, the {q-Hearts}.

After the stacks were broken down, Blazer bumped his stack up to 525,000, while Eyster dropped to 850,000. It was a great run for Karambinis, who told us before his Day 1 flight that he was going to win this tournament. Unfortunately for him, he fell 15 spots short.
