Hedin Doubles Through Eyster

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Action folded around to Alan Hedin in the small blind, and he raised it up to 120,000. From here, the action was quick, as Kevin Eyster three bet to 280,000 in the big blind. Hedin quickly shoved all in for his last 835,000, and Eyster called him.

Hedin: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Eyster: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The board ran down {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, and Hedin collected the double up to 1.68 million, while Eyster maintained his chip lead, dropping to 3.4 million.

Rosie Paules Eliminated in 5th Place ($35,124)

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Rosie Paules- 5th Place
Rosie Paules- 5th Place

The action has really picked up here over the last few hands, as we just saw Rosie Paules make her exit.

Kevin Eyster made it 90,000 out of the small blind, and Paules defended her big blind. The flop came all spades: {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}, and the action was lightning quick. Eyster bet out 100,000, Paules moved all in, and Eyster snap called.

Eyster: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Paules: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Eyster had flopped the second nut flush, but Paules still had outs, as she had the nut flush draw. Paules had pulled out a number of miracles while behind all in, but her luck finally ran out, as the board finished {q-Clubs} and {a-Clubs}.

Paules made a great run, but she will have to settle for $35,124. Meanwhile Eyster, who won another huge pot against Jonathan Taylor just a few hands after, is back up to being our big chip leader with 4.2 million.

Taylor Doubles Through Eyster

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Kevin Eyster opened the action for 90,000, and Jonathan Taylor three bet to 150,000 from the button. Eyster called, and the flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Eyster check called a 100,000 bet from Taylor, and the turn brought the {2-Spades}.

Eyster checked again, and Taylor carefully counted out a bet of 250,000. It didn't take Eyster very long to drop all of his blue T100,000 chips into the middle, moving Taylor all in. Taylor made the call, and the cards were tabled.

Taylor: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Eyster: {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Eyster was looking for a four or a diamond to win the hand and seize absolute control of the tournament, but the river brought the {j-Spades}. Taylor jumped up to 2.4 million, while Eyster fell back down to 2.2 million.

Benjamin Kim Eliminated in 6th Place ($26,883)

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Benjamin Kim- 6th Place
Benjamin Kim- 6th Place

Benjamin Kim was on the wrong side of a pretty sick cooler that saw him bow out in 6th place. Kevin Eyster opened the action to 90,000 from the button, and Kim three bet it to 200,000. Eyster made the call, and the flop came all paint: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Kim led out for 100,000, and Eyster made the call. The exact same thing happened on the turn, the {6-Hearts}, and the river brought the {3-Diamonds}.

For the third street in a row, Kim fired out 100,000, and Eyster responded by raising to 625,000. Kim moved all in, and Eyster snap called.

Eyster: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Kim: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Kim had the third best possible hand, but unfortunatley for him, Eyster slow played the nuts until the end. Kim will walk away with $26,883, while Eyster takes a commanding chip lead of 3.2 million.

Paules Doubles Through Taylor

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Rosie Paules has pulled more then one rabbit out of her hat in this tournament. On Day 2, her {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} cracked her opponents pocket aces, and she also won a huge pot against Michael Taylor, when her {a-}{5-} caught up with his {k-}{k-}. Well she has just pulled off another improbable double up through Jonathan Taylor.

Kevin Eyster opened the action for 90,000, and Paules shoved all in for her last 705,000. Taylor was next to act, and after about 30 seconds of thinking, he called. Eyster got out of the way, and the cards were tabled.

Paules: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Taylor: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop gave Paules a glimmer of hope, coming {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Paules could catch a ten or runner runner to win, but the {2-Spades} on the turn made it just the ten. Well, you can guess what came on the river.

River: {10-Spades}

Paules let out a chuckle as she scooped the pot, while Taylor silently sent the chips over. After that pot, Taylor fell to 1.25 million, while Paules is back up to 1.55 million.

Johnson Doubles Through Taylor

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

We just had double ups on back-to-back hands, as Jerry Johnson doubled through Jonathan Taylor. Johnson open shoved for his last 435,000 from under the gun, and when it got around to Taylor in the big blind, he made the call.

Johnson: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Taylor: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Johnson couldn't have asked for a much better flop: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}{k-Spades}. Taylor was now drawing to one out, and when the {8-Spades} hit the turn, the hand was sealed. The meaningless river was the {7-Diamonds}, and Johnson jumped up to 900,000, while Taylor fell to 2.05 million.

Hedin Doubles Through Eyster

Level 28 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Action started with Jonathan Taylor raising to 60,000 from under the gun. Al Hedin made the call from the cutoff, and Kevin Eyster put on the squeeze from the button, with a raise to 175,000. Taylor folded, and after about 20 seconds of tanking, Hedin moved all in for his last 465,000. Eyster made the call, and the cards were tabled.

Eyster: {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Hedin: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The flop was safe for Hedin, coming down {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Eyster couldn't have asked for a better turn card: {q-Spades}. Eyster could now catch a spade, queen, or ten to win the hand, but the river was the {4-Hearts}.

Hedin jumped back up to over a million after the hand, while Eyster dropped to 2.115 million.

Johnson Picks Up the Aggression

Level 28 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Jerry Johnson had folded his way down to just 280,000 before he took a stand on back to back hands. On the first hand, Johnson opened shoved from under the gun and got no callers. On the second one, Kevin Eyster raisd to 65,000, and Johnson defended his big blind.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, and Johnson quickly moved all in. Eyster folded even quicker, and Johnson took two straight much needed pots to up his stack to 430,000.

Level 28 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Rosie Paules raised to 65,000 in the cutoff, and Allan Hedin defended his big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, and after 20 seconds of thought, Hedin moved all in for 250,000 total. Paules folded, and Hedin took the pot.

On the next hand, Hedin open shoved all in from the small blind when it folded to him, and Eyster folded his big blind. On the very next hand, Hedin raised to 80,000 from the button, and won his third pot in a row.
