Drobes Done
After an opening raise to 16,000 by Kory Kilpatrick, Scott Drobes called from the cutoff seat, then Larry Gurney called as well from the button and Raymond Gollahon called, too, from the big blind.
The four players saw the flop come , and when checked to Kilpatrick continued for 22,000. Drobes then shoved all in over that for 138,000 total, and after a pause Gurney let his hand go.
Gollahon then reraised all in from the big blind for about 170,000, which forced Kilpatrick out of the hand. Drobes shook his head as he saw Gollahon table his cards — for a flopped set.
"Ah... I'm literally drawing dead," said Drobes, showing his . "Looked like a good flop for that," he added as the dealer delivered the meaningless turn and river. Drobes wished the table good luck, saying he hoped one of them would win the tournament, and left to collect his winnings for finishing 59th.
