Just as Mark Handy was being eliminated in 11th on the other table, Table 2 also saw an all-in confrontation take place. Kory Kilpatrick opened in early position, Todd Osborne three-bet jammed for around 500,000 in middle position, and the action folded back to Kilpatrick, who quickly called.

Kilpatrick: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Osborne: {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, and Osborne was eliminated. We are now at an official final table of nine players, and play will resume shortly.

On just the second hand of the day over on Table 3, it folded around to James Kinney in the small blind who raised enough to put his neighbor — short stack Mark Handy — all in, and Handy called from the big blind for his last 250,000 or so.

Kinney had {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Handy {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. The flop came {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, and Handy began calling for a saving six. But the turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and the river the {8-Clubs}, and Handy is out.

They might have stopped to redraw to a ten-handed table at that point, but an all-in situation has come up at the next table, too… stay tuned.

Henderson Leads Entering Final Day

Hutch Henderson

The third and final day of the 2012-13 World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah's Cherokee is set to begin in 30 minutes or so, and the overwhelming chip leader of the remaining 11 players is Hugh Henderson. Henderson bagged over four million chips, giving him a quarter of the chips in play, and the next closest competitor is Jonathan Moseley (2.395 million). Henderson finished third in Event #53 of the 2012 WSOP, earning $322,866.

George Zinaty is the only other play to bag over two million chips. Zinaty won a massive pot off of Fernando Tobal, when he open shoved for three-times the pot with a flush draw. Tobal called with two pair, and Zinaty hit Broadway on the river.

Once there is a single elimination today, the remaining 10 players will combine to make an unofficial final table. From there, we will play until there is one player standing, and that player will earn $250,380, a seat into the Souther Comfort Proof 100 WSOP National Championship, and a seat into the 2013 WSOP Main Event.
