Bharat's Check-Raise Earns Him a Big Pot
Level 32
: 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
After Kevin Saul had limped from the button and Lall Bharat did the same from the small blind, Paul Snead accidentally folded from the big. That meant it was heads-up action to the flop, which saw Bharat check-call a bet of 90,000.
Bharat then check-called another bet on the turn, this time 175,000, before checking for a third time on the river. Saul, who tends to think for awhile before making a decision, proceeded to slide out a big bet of 540,000. Bharat acted a bit more quickly and woke up with a check-raise to 1.3 million, and it was enough to get the job done as Saul released his hand.
