A Hit To Huang

We recently caught up to see the aftermath of a hand where Kevin Huang called the all in of a shorter stacked player. Huang held {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} against the short stack's {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

The board came down {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Huang was forced to ship about 230,000 to the other side of the table.

Overdijk Bluffs Chan

Lillian Chan opened with an early position raise to 31,000. It folded around to Norman Overdijk in the cutoff and he three-bet to 95,000. Action came back around to Chan and she thought for a bit before flat calling.

The flop was {3-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Chan led out with a bet of 50,000.

"All of it!" snapped Overdijk without any hesitation.

Chan then went into the tank for about a minute. Eventually she stood up.

"I really don't like you right now, Norm," said Chan. "I think you're bluffing."

It was at this point that Overdijk turned around and shook his behind in Chan's direction while chanting "We don't bluff! We don't bluff!"

Chan opted to release her hand and Overdijk triumphantly showed {A-Hearts}{j-Spades} for merely ace-high. Chan shot out of her seat, upset with herself for letting go of the hand. She's now down to about 205,000 while Overdijk is sitting on a cool million.

Biermann Building

On a board of {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} we found Ryan Biermann heads up in a pot with Shreeniwas Kelkar. There was about 200,000 already in the pot and Biermann announced that he was all in. This bet was for Kelkar's life and Kelkar pondered whether or not to put in his last 610,000 in chips.

"You call and it's all over, baby," said Biermann, quoting the infamous words of 1998 WSOP champion Scotty Nguyen.

Ultimately, it was not all over, baby, as Kelkar released his cards. Biermann showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for Broadway and increased his stack to about 1,600,000.

Overdijk Busts Chan In Roller Coaster of a Hand

Lillian Chan (Day 1c) Eliminated
Lillian Chan (Day 1c) Eliminated

Lillian Chan moved all in before the flop and was called by Norman Overdijk.

Overdijk: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Chan: {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}

Chan was in dire need of help and found some additional straight outs when the flop came {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The {A-Spades} rolled off on the turn, giving Overdijk a set of aces but Chan a straight, thrusting her into the lead. Overdijk yelled for the board for pair and the deck obliged, as the {J-Clubs} completed the board and Overdijk's full house reigned supreme.

Chan was the last woman standing the in the field. She was eliminated in 32nd place and will take home $6,827 for her efforts.
