Lee Causes Lee to Leave

There was a commotion at one of the outer tables and we caught up to see Doug Lee with all of his chips in the middle of the table. The board read {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and Lee's opponent, Tyler Lee, fired out a bet. Doug Lee moved all in for his last 6,950 over the top and Tyler Lee called.

Doug Lee: {J-Spades}{8-Spades}
Tyler Lee: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

"I knew he had that hand," said Doug Lee as he stood up from the table, learning that he was ahead with his pair of eights.

The {3-Diamonds} hit fourth street, keeping Doug Lee out in front. The river, however, spelled disaster. The {K-Diamonds} rolled off to complete the board and paired Tyler Lee's king, spelling elimination for the 2005 WSOP Circuit Championship event winner.

"Ugh," lamented Doug Lee. "I knew he had ace-king." Doug Lee walked away from the table while Tyler Lee scooped up a huge pot that boosts his stack to about 66,000.
