Griffin Malatino opened with a raise before the flop only to be three-bet by Chris Hyden from the next seat over. Action folded all of the way around the table back to Malatino who four-bet shoved all in. Hyden called and the hands were revealed to find the two racing for Malatino's life.
Malatino:
Hyden:
Hyden retained his lead on the flop and never relented through the turn and the river. He's now sitting on about 690,000 while Malatino was eliminated from play.
When we arrived at the table, Mark Rose and David Grandieri were heads up on a flop of . The duo checked.
Grandieri checked again after the turned, and Rose tossed out 27,000. Grandieri check-raised to 85,000, and Rose made the call.
A repeat nine - the - completed the board, and Grandieri led out for 126,000. Rose examined his opponent, then grabbed a single red T5,000 chip. He tossed it forward, signaling a call, and Grandieri unhappily tabled for a pair of sixes. Rose tabled for a pair of queens, and raked in the pot.
Jonathan Tamayo raised to 30,000 from middle position, and the action folded to Griffin Malatino, who defended his big blind. The dealer spread , and Malatino led out for 40,000. Tamayo tanked for a bit, then reached for a stack of red T5,000 chips, min-raising to 80,000.
Malatino tanked for a bit, then sent his cards spiraling into the muck.
Albert Tiseo opened for a raise in early position, Bryan Campanello three-bet on his direct left, and the action folded back to Tiseo, who moved all in for a little over 300,000. Campanello called.
Tiseo:
Campanello:
Campanello held as the board ran out , and Tiseo was eliminated. Campanello now sits with 785,000 chips.
Although cards have been in the air for roughly 35 minutes already, Albert Crooks is still a no-show. His chips are on the table and in play but he is currently blinding off.
We missed the action, but the table was kind enough to recap the Michael Johnston's final hand for us. In a four-bet pot, Johnston was heads up with Luke Graham to see a flop of . Johnston shipped his last roughly 400,000 and Graham snapped him off.
Johnston tabled for middle pair and was killed by Graham's for top set. The queens held and Johnston was sent packing early here in Day 3. Graham, on the other hand, is now sitting pretty with about 1.3 million in chips.
Abbey Daniels moved her last roughly 200,000 all in before the flop only to have Arshin Gamini three-bet ship all in over the top from the button. The rest of the table folded and the hands were tabled:
Daniels:
Gamini:
The board ran out and Daniels was sent packing in 27th place.
