Szurko Beats Williams' Tens

Level 32 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

From the hijack seat, Sean Szurko raised to 160,000. Josh Wiliams called from the small blind, and the flop came down {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Williams checked and Szurko bet 180,000. Williams made the call.

The turn was the {J-Diamonds}, and both players checked to see the {6-Diamonds} fall on the river. Both players checked again.

Williams showed the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, but Szurko's {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts} was a little better and he won the pot.

One For Kirk, One For Riess

Sean Szurko opened to 160,000 from middle position, Tripp Kirk called in the cutoff, and Ryan Riess defended his big blind. The dealer fanned {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}, and the action checked to Kirk who tossed out 185,000. Both of his opponents folded, and Kirk picked up the pot.

The next hand, Kirk opened to 160,000 from the hijack seat, and Riess called out of the small blind. The flop was {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}, and Riess checked. Kirk continued for 135,000, and Riess check-raised to 310,000. Kirk called.

The turn was the {3-Clubs}, and Riess led for 365,000. Kirk raised to 800,000, and Riess called.

Both players knuckled after the {4-Spades} completed the board, and Riess tabled {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for trip sixes. Kirk mucked, and Riess was pushed the pot.

A few hands later, Irani opened to 180,000 from under the gun. Ryan Riess called on his immediate left, and the rest of the players folded. The dealer fanned {j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}, and Irani checked. Riess fired 175,000, and won the pot.

Erik Roussakis Eliminated in 9th Place ($39,168)

Erik Roussakis - 9th place
Erik Roussakis - 9th place

From middle position, Brad Albrinck raised to 160,000. Action then folded to Erik Roussakis in the cutoff seat, and he reraised all in for 1.145 million. Action folded back to Albrinck and he quickly made the call with the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. Roussakis was at risk with the {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

On the flop, Albrinck's queens stayed in front as the {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} fell. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and paired the board, which left Roussakis needing an ace on the river.

The {6-Hearts} finished off the board on fifth street, and that was the final blow to Roussakis as he was the first place eliminated at the final table.

Although Roussakis couldn't outdo his third-place run from last year, he did add another $39,168 to his bank account.

Two For Williams

Josh Williams opened in middle position, Shiva Dudani called in position, and the flop fell {6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Williams led out for 225,000, and Dudani called.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds}, and Williams slowed down, checking to Dudani who checked behind. The {3-Spades} completed the board, and Williams slid forward 455,000. Dudani begrudgingly called, and Williams flipped over two black deuces for a full house.

Dudani showed what looked like {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a flopped flush.

A few hands later, Brad Albrinck raised in late position, and Williams defended his big blind. The dealer fanned {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and Williams checked. Albrinck continued for 170,000, Williams check-raised to 390,000, and Albrinck folded.
