Back-to-Back Hands Cripple McFarland

Krissi McFarland has been flying under the radar a bit here at the final table, but she recently mixed it up in two big hands. Unfortunately for here, neither went her way.

In the first, Jeff Fielder opened for 160,000 from the hijack and Bryan Campanello called from the button. Matt Kirby did the same from the small blind, McFarland came along from the big, and four players saw a flop of {K-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Two checks put action on Fielder, he bet 260,000, and only McFarland called. Both players then checked the {A-Spades} turn and {4-Diamonds} river, prompting Fielder to show {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for the win.

In the very next hand, a short-stacked Drazen Ilich moved all in from the hijack for 930,000 holding {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and McFarland called from the small blind with {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. McFarland got it in good, but the {2c{5-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} flop was kind to Ilich and gave him a commanding lead. Neither the {J-Hearts} turn nor {J-Diamonds} river helped McFarland, and her stack dropped down to just 1 million.
