Jamil Wakil opened with a yellow T25,000 chip in middle position, and Brian Hastings three-bet shoved for 107,000 a few seats over. The big blind tanked for a long while before folding what he said was ace-queen, and Wakil wished Hasings luck as he made the call to put him to the test.

The big blind was sick at his fold, realizing that he'd have had both players dominated if he'd joined the fun. It was Hastings in the lead now, though, but his confidence was in question. "Oh, you're so live," he said with a nervous grin. "Good luck. You're gonna win. I mean the whole tournament, not just this hand." The table chuckled together, and it was time to decide Hastings' fate.
