Bowker Flops the Joint
We picked up the action on the flop in a heads-up pot between Day 1 big stack Maxim Sorkin (under the gun) and Kyle Bowker (button).
When we walked up to the table, the flop was already spread out on the table. Kyle Bowker had 4,700 chips out in front of him, but we can't say for sure if it was a bet or a raise. Either way, Sorokin responded with a raise back to 15,000 flat, and Bowker tanked and called to see the next card.
It was the , and Sorokin quickly plunked out a covering stack of red chips. Bowker threw his arms up in confusion, but he had little choice with . He quickly committed his last 50,700 to the pot, and he was soon presented with a bit of good news as Sorokin's was drawing dead.
The river was just a formality, and Bowker has found a big double to climb up to about 140,000.
