Lee Likes the Flop

Bernard Lee limped into the pot to start the action, and someone limped along behind him before a third player raised to 575. There were two more calls in front of Lee — including Matt Chang — so he and the player behind him called as well, and it was five ways to the flop.

The dealer spread out {A-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}, and Lee led out into the pot with 1,050. The preflop raiser raised again, making it 3,100 total. Chang overcalled that raise, but Lee wanted to play for more. He made it 8,700 total, and that folded Mr. Raiser to send the decision back to Chang. After a couple minute of agony in the tank, he flashed the {A-Diamonds} and surrendered.

"I got it," Lee announced. "You know I got it." He laid his {A-Spades} {7-Spades} out on the felt as the dealer pushed him the pot.
