Deeb Keeps Climbing

Freddy Deeb raised it up in early position to 52,000, and Ty Spires was the only caller on the button. The flop came down {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}, and Deeb led out for 60,000. Spires quickly called, and the turn came the {4-Diamonds}. Deeb thought for over a minute before assembling a bet of 180,000. This time, Spires took little time in folding, and Deeb collected the pot to get back up over 700,000.

Deeb Three-Bets

Level 26 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

David Funkhauser opened the action with a raise to 51,000 before Freddy Deeb three-bet him to 151,000. Funkhauser thought over his options for a little while before opting to fold.

Most hands at this stage of the tournament have resulted in pots being taken down preflop.

Kuether Takes Another From Deeb

Freddy Deeb raised preflop to 50,000 from middle position and was called by Joe Kuether to his immediate left. The flop was {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Deeb continued for 105,000. Kuether made the call.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and Deeb slowed down with a check. Kuether thought for a bit before sliding out 145,000. Deeb had the dealer count it and mulled over his decision before kicking in his cards.

Deeb Gets Some Back

Ryan Gentry raised under the gun to 62,000, and it folded around to the blinds. Both Freddy Deeb and Joe Kuether came along, and the three saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. It was checked around, and the {2-Hearts} hit the river. This time, Deeb cut out a bet of 85,000, and slid it into the middle. Kuether thought for about 20 seconds before folding, and Gentry thought for about the same time, before also releasing his hand, giving the pot to Deeb.

Cronin Gets Away With One

Joe Kuether raised in middle position and was called by Stephen Plache on the button, Chris Bratene in the small blind and Chris Cronin in the big blind.

The flop was {3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, Bratene checked and Cronin quickly moved all in for about 290,000. Kuether and Plache folded before Bratene went deep in the tank.

"I hit that," Bratene said as he continued to mull over his decision. Eventually he flipped up the {7-Spades} as he slid his cards to the dealer. To his dismay Cronin showed {10-}{6-} as he shoveled in the chips.

Kuether Takes The Chip Lead In Huge Pot

Joe Kuether just took a huge pot off of Freddy Deeb to take the chip lead with eight players left. He started the action by min raising to 40,000 under the gun. Action folded all the way around to Deeb in the big blind, who called. The flop came down {j-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts}, and Deeb checked to Kuether, who bet out 60,000. Deeb called, and the turn came the {k-Hearts}. Deeb once again check called Kuether's bet, this one being 115,000, and they saw the {4-Diamonds} hit the river.

Deeb checked one more time, and Kuether thought for about a minute before putting out a big bet of 260,000. Deeb cut the bet out of his stack, took a look at what he would have left over, and called. Kuether showed {9-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a flopped straight, and Deeb mucked. After the hand, Kuether is up to 1.6 million, while Deeb plummets to under 600,000.
