Scarborough Bets a Powder Blue
Level 16
: 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Four players created a pot worth 34,000 and took a flop of . Both the blinds and a player in middle position checked to the Day 1b chip leader, Mike Scarborough, who bet out 26,500, which included a new baby-blue T25,000 chip. "I bet a powder blue, boys. Must mean something," Scarborough deadpanned. His opponents must have believed him as one by one they folded.
We also noted that Tom Luce, one of the bigger stacks in the room, is seated at Scarborough's table. That means there is some potential to fireworks, although it'll need to happen sooner than later as their table is one of the next few to be broke.
