Erik Roussakis Eliminated in 3rd Place ($183,991)

Erik Roussakis (3rd place)
Erik Roussakis (3rd place)

Aaron Steury raised to 325,000 on the button only to have Erik Roussakis move all in for around 2.1 million from the small blind. Bob Chow quickly got out of the way, and with the slightest of shrugs, Steury made the call.

Showdown
Steury: {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Roussakis: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

Roussakis was in a dominating spot and primed to double, that is until the {K-Spades} appeared in the window and was followed by the {7-Spades}{4-Spades}. Suddenly Roussakis went from a huge favorite to needing a non-spade ace. The {K-Diamonds} turn put an end to the hand as Roussakis was left drawing dead against Steury's trips. The meaningless {5-Diamonds} was run out on the river for good measures as Roussakis made his was to the payout desk in third place, worth $183,991.

Eric Crain Eliminated in 4th Place ($139,815)

Level 34 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Eric Crain 4th Place.
Eric Crain 4th Place.

Erik Roussakis opened the action for 450,000 and Eric Crain shoved from the small blind. Action passed to Aaron Steury re-shoved from the big blind. Roussakis folded quicker than he had all tournament and Crain was at risk against Steury.

Crain: {K-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}
Steury: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}

The board ran {3-Spades} {2-Clubs} {7-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} and Crain's wild ride ended as he made his way to the payout desk.

Oh Action, Where Art Thou?

Level 34 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Since returning from break, there has been no significant action to speak of. In fact, a simple preflop raise seems to be enough to swipe the blinds and antes at this point. With the stacks so deep, players can afford to be patient and wait for quality hands.

Dave Neff Eliminated in 5th Place ($106,447)

Dave Neff 5th Place.
Dave Neff 5th Place.

Eric Crain opened for 265,000 and Dave Neff shoved all in from the small blind. Crain popped his head up and asked the dealer for a count. Before the dealer could finish - which was somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.1 million - Crain announced call.

Neff: {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts}
Crain: {4-Hearts} {4-Spades}

The dealer rolled out {10-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} for the flop.

The turn was a kick in the gut for Crain when it came {A-Spades}. Crain left the table and steam walked around the stage. He had his hat pulled down low to watch the river...

{4-Diamonds}!

Crain exploded again, this time in excitement. He pulled a Tiger Woods-esque fist pump as he earned the knockout.
