Day 2 Almost Ready To Go
Welcome to PokerNews' Day 2 coverage of the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event at Harrah's New Orleans. A field of 382 came to play yesterday and after 16 levels, only 70 remain with hopes of becoming the next circuit Main Event Champion. Valuable seats are still on the line for the 100-player WSOP-C National Championship as well and today will go a long way in determining just who might be there.
Leading the way into Day 2 is Mario "Pwnasaurus" Silvestri with 371,500. The only other player with more than 300,000 is Allie Prescott and there are many other notables still in the hunt as well. Matthew Waxman, Michael Traylor, Dwyte Pilgrim, and Mike Beasley are in the top 20 chip counts, so today will certainly be a test for all who make it through to the final table.
Play is slated to kick off in about 25 minutes, so we'll see you at the top of the hour.
