Day 2 Set to Begin Shortly

Chris Klodnicki, Day 1 chip leader
Chris Klodnicki, Day 1 chip leader
Welcome back to Caesars Atlantic City for Day 2 of the World Series of Poker Main Event. Day 1 saw 208 runners give it go, with only 52 players moving on to today. Some of the more big name exits included Bernard Lee, Roy Winston, Matt "All in at 420" Stout, and Nick Frangos. Two of the members from last year's coveted November Nine, Ylon Schwartz and Dennis Phillips, were also in the mix, but both failed to move on as well.

The chip leader entering today is young Chris Klodnicki. Klodnicki maintained a rather average chip stack for most of the day, but then stormed to the top of the leader in the last few levels to finish the day as the only player above 200,000. He comes into today with a sizable chip lead and 218,000 chips total. Bill Gazes, Mike "GoLeafsGoEh" Leah, and Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy still remain in the field, but all are clustered in the bottom part of the pack.

We're set to kick things off at 12:00 noon EST with level twelve. The money bubble isn't too far away, set at 27 players, and the plan is to play down until the final table before we finish out the day. Hopefully, luck will be on the players' side despite it being Friday the 13th.

Live updates coming shortly when pay kicks off, be sure to stick around!
