Big Pockets Both Get There

Tom Sartori is the first one into this particular pot, raising to 1,600 from middle position. The player on the button reraises all in for about 9,000 total, and Sartori quickly calls.

Sartori: A-A
Opponent: J-J

The flop brings the {8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{K-Spades}. On the turn, the all-in player spikes one of his outs, hitting the {J-Clubs}. However, Sartori rallies on the river, as the {Q-Hearts} makes him an ace-high straight, and eliminates another player from the field. Sartori is healthy, with a stack approaching 40,000.

Mike Browne Wins a Big Pot

On a flop of {8-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, Mike Browne called an all-in bet of approximately 20,000 from another player. Browne had him covered.

Browne: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

Opponent: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The turn and river were blanks to both players and Browne got up, cursing that he made a huge mistake. When he was told that he had won, Browne exclaimed, "I thought he had trip queens!"

After the hand, Browne moved up to approximately 60,000 in chips.

Billirakis Eliminated by Miles

Timothy Miles
Timothy Miles
Steve Billirakis moves all in after Timothy Miles raises from early position. Miles must call another 10,000 chips in order to have a chance to knock out Billirakis.

Miles contemplates the call for a few minutes and then tells Billirakis, "You have just the right size of a stack that you need to make a move with," before calling the all-in bet.

Billirakis shows {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Miles shows {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The board of {8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{J-Spades} is looking good for Billirakis, but then the {A-Diamonds} hits on the river and Billirakis is eliminated.

Despite losing the big hand earlier to Lee Wilson, Miles is back to around 54,000.
