Tony Dunst "Blown Away" by 2020 Online Poker Prize Pools

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 2,500 ante
WPT WOC Tony Dunst
WPT WOC Tony Dunst

Having "grown up online," Dunst says that online remains the gold standard if you're going to cut it at the height of poker.

"You have to be able to beat the best at online poker. That's where it's like really played out as big as the live arena is, and while I know there's a little more prestige and history attached to live events, to me that like the top of the game is being played online and I grew up in the culture of online poker.

"And the field sizes and prize pools for online poker lately have really blown me away."

Haxton into the Lead

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 2,500 ante

Michael Addamo raised to 50,000 with {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Isaac Haxton called with {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

The flop {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} gave both players top pair and both players checked. The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and Haxton bet 84,000. Addamo called and the river was the {3-Clubs}.

Haxton bet 164,000 and Addamo snap-called. Haxton's two pair was better and he closed the gap to Addamo.

Addamo Extends Lead

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Isaac Haxton {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} raised to 38,000 and Michael Addamo {k-Spades}{9-Spades} called. Addamo check-called 24,000 on the {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and both players checked the {8-Diamonds} turn.

The river {6-Spades} completed Addamo's flush and gave Haxton a pair. Addamo bet 43,000 and Haxton called. Addamo's flush was good and he extended his lead.

Michael Addamo: Play this hand out right?
Isaac Haxton: ya

Haxton won a small pot with one pair to close the game on Addamo and the two entered the deal-making chat.

Sergi Reixach {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} raised to 32,000 and it folded to Isaac Haxton {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} in the big blind. He three-bet to 131,000 and Reixach shoved for 828,000. Haxton snap-called, covering Reixach by just 42,000 chips.
