Arthur Conan Eliminated in 3rd Place (MAD 450,000)

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Arthur Conan

From the button, Rachid Rami raised {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} to 250,000. Small blind Arthur Conan pushed for 1,495,000 with {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Mohammed Lahlou folded. Rami called.

The flop came {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Conan remained in the lead but Rami had a gutshot on top his two live cards.

The {3-Clubs} on the turn added a flush draw for Rami but he still had "just" 39 percent.

The {10-Spades} completed the board, giving Rami broadway and prompting some celebrations from the Moroccon players and rail.

Arthur Conan, just 19 years old, had to settle for 3rd place. Heads up now between Lahlou and Rami.

Rami Celebrates a Bit Too Early

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

On a board of {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades} we saw Mohammed Lahlou bet 700,000. Rachid Rami raised to 1.7 million and after some tanking Lahlou called with {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for two pair.

Rami slammed his {A-Spades}{3-Spades} on the table for the backdoor flush and celebrated, thinking he had won the tournament.

That was a little bit too early as Lahlou still had quite a few chips left. Rami talked a little bit to the floor and his opponent, and then started stacking - accepting he wasn't quite there yet.

Big Double Up for Lahlou

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Mohammed Lahlou found {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and raised to 250,000. Rachid Rami woke up with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and flat called.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Rami checked. Lahlou bet and Rami instantly shoved all in. Lahlou called for 2,060,000 total.

The turn came the {Q-Hearts}, making Lahlou a flush and giving Rami top set.

Rami needed the board to pair but the {K-Spades} on the river failed to do so. The 4,650,000-pot went to Lahlou.

Small Pots

Level 32 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

A lot of folds, some limps and a minimum amount of raises. The play has tightened up. Mohammed Lahlou still the shortest stack.
