No More Time for Pinho

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Henrique Pinho, who won the Marrakech Poker Open last March in this very casino, tangled with Sonny Franco in a sizable pot just now.

We picked up the action on a board of {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} with the big blind checking. From the hijack, Pinho bet 28,000 and Franco called from the button. The big blind folded.

With the {4-Spades} hitting the turn, Pinho checked his option. Franco answered with a bet of 26,000 and Pinho called.

The {Q-Hearts} completed the board and Pinho checked. Franco bet 43,000 and Pinho went deep into the tank. After some minutes, the clock was called and Pinho eventually folded with just a few seconds left to act. While he lost this hand, he still has a double average stack.

Guilbert Can't Call

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Johan Guilbert was first to act and made it 22,000. Action folded around to [Removed:152] in the big blind and he called.

[Removed:196] checked on {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Guilbert bet 23,000. [Removed:196] instantly announced "50,000" and put the needed chips in right after that. Guilbert thought about it for a bit before he called.

The turn came the {8-Hearts} and [Removed:196] instantly said he was betting 60,000. Guilbert, with about 170,000 behind at this point, tanked for a fair bit before open mucking his {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

[Removed:196] put his cards towards the muck, but right before the dealer started the scramble he pulled one back to revealed the {3-Clubs}.

Moises Parrilla-Ramos Eliminated

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Moises Parrilla-Ramos (big blind) and [Removed:152] (button) got their chips in on a flop of {K-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Parrilla-Ramos with {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} was trailing the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} of [Removed:196].

Parrilla-Ramos needed a heart to stay alive. While he got one on the turn, the {A-Hearts} was anything but good for him. He was drawing dead with [Removed:196] now in possession of a full house. The river {J-Hearts} was of no importance anymore and Parrilla-Ramos made his exit.

Herzali Check-Raises the Turn

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Sarah Herzali

Action folded to French player Dimitri Sukhorukov in the cutoff and he made it 13,000. The button and small blind both folded but Sarah Herzali in the big blind made the call.

Both players checked the flop of {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades} and the {8-Diamonds} hit the turn. Herzali checked again and Sukhorukov answered with a bet of 10,000. Herzali quickly check-raised to 25,000 and Sukhorukov called casually.

The {J-Diamonds} completed the board and Herzali bet 17,000. Sukhorukov called, but mucked upon being shown {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.
