Who's Hungry for a WPT Title?

Final Table
Final Table

There's just six players remaining in the partypoker World Poker Tour Vienna Main Event and today is the day we'll see a winner in Austria's capital.

Will it be chip leader Vladimir Krastev? The local player has a combined $20,000 in cashes on his palmares, already more than doubling that by making the final six. He plays mostly here in Vienna, with his best result being a fourth place finish in a €20 rebuy tournament in the Concord Card Casino for €3.500. Yeah you read that right, there were 2,329 entries and 1,421 rebuys in that €20 tournament. Krastev's good run started yesterday when he transformed from short stack to big stack bully in a matter of hands. He busted players left and right, and won ace king against ace king to finish things off late last night.

Or will any of the five competitors be able to catch up and overtake Krastev? World Poker Tour champion Thomas Bichon still has a fighting chance with 25 big blinds, European Poker Tour champion Sotirios Koutoupas has 55 big blinds and French leading lady Gaelle Baumann brings 16 blinds and a fighting spirit. And than there's the German with Greek heritage Konstantinos Nanos hungry for chips, and the experienced Andreas Freund from Vienna who finished runner up in the big EUREKA Poker Tour in Vienna last year.

Play resumes at 1 p.m. local time, so in just over an hour time. PokerNews.com will again be your one stop shop for updates and photos from the tournament. There will be a live stream available on half an hour delay.

Andreas Freund will have the button in the first hand, Sotirios Koutoupas will be the small blind and Gaelle Baumann is the big blind. The remaining six players are guaranteed a €29,500 pay day, with €150,000 up top.
