Aaron Mermelstein was put to the test when he was faced with a big raise on the river. With the board reading 
, Randy Gonzales checked in the small blind. Donald Abdelhay bet out 3,300 and Mermelstein called.
With action back on Gonzales, he raised to 8,800 and Abdelhay took several moments before giving up his hand. Then Mermelstein went in the tank for almost a minute, finally giving up his hand.
"Did you have a flush?" Mermelstein asked Abdelhay.
He nodded. "Did you?"
"Yeah," said Mermelstein.
"So that means he didn't," Abdelhay said, referring to Gonzales who was scooping up the chips.
