Adriaans Eliminated Holding Aces
Upstairs in the cash game area there are still tournament tables in play, and we jus witnessed a huge hand between two familiar faces, Marion Adriaans and Zeus Post.
Adriaans was seated under the gun and raised to 725 and Patrick Renkers called from her immediate left. Another player called before Post three-bet in position to 2,500. Adriaans gave it some thought before ultimately four-betting to 5,525 and both Renkers and the fourth player folded.
Post made the call and on the flop we saw on which Adriaans bet 5,100 and Post called. The turn was the and Adriaans bet 5,500 this time around, which was called by Post with a similar motion again.
The river completed the board with the and Adriaans checked to Post who moved all in about a second later. This move put Adriaans at risk and she started analyzing the hand out loud.
"Do you have queens?" she asked Post repeatedly, who remained silent throughout the entire hand before calling the clock.
"I think it's pretty obvious what I have," Adriaans laughed in disbelief, before ultimately making the call.
Post flipped up and with a set he raked in this pot, and Adriaans later confirmed she had a pair of aces.
