Romanello, Darcout Out

WPT Champion Roberto Romanello has been eliminated in Level 2 here on Day 1a, and was kind enough to let us in on the details. According to Romanello, he lost the majority of his chips in a three-bet pot with {a-}{k-} against an opponent's {j-}{j-} on a board of {k-}{j-}{8-}{6-}{6-}. Romanello was eliminated soon after.

Minutes after Romanello's elimination, the pink-haired Frenchman Guillaume Darcourt exited stage left as well. Darcourt was all in holding {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} on a flop of {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, and Casey Kastle had him at risk holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. The {a-Clubs} spiked on the turn, giving Kastle the lead, and the {5-Hearts} completed the board.

Darcourt and Romanello are both eliminated, but we're certain we'll see them tomorrow for Day 1b.
