Straight to the Eight for Inizan
Marc Inizan opened from early position with a raise to 1,375. "Passe... passe... passe," said the dealer as the table folded around to the player in the cutoff seat. Incidentally, both French and English are the official languages for this event, and we're hearing dealers using both, while the players most often are speaking French.
The player in the cutoff called Inizan's raise, and the remaining players all chose to "passe" as well. The flop came

. Inizan paused a moment, then checked, and his opponent checked as well. Inizan waited as his opponent slowly showed one of his cards -- the 
-- giving him a straight. Inizan then flipped his over, showing 
for the better straight. After a brief explanation to Inizan's opponent -- in English, actually -- the dealer flipped his opponent's other card to show the 
before pushing both into the muck, and the chips toward Inizan.
Inizan keeps battling, and now has 24,000.
