Gomes Caught Bluffing
Alexandre Gomes decided to get tricky in this hand and in the end, it has cost him roughly 35% of his stack.
The players in the cutoff and small blind had limped in and Gomes popped it to 3,600 from the big blind. Both opponents called and the flop came down . It was checked to Gomes and he fired 5,600, quickly ridding the pot of the player in the cutoff. The player in the small blind, though, called after about two minutes in the tank.
The hit the turn and again the action was checked to Gomes. He bet 35,000, covering his opponent's stack. After about another two minutes thinking it over, his opponent called all in for 28,075.
"Good call," said Gomes, turning over . His opponent tabled and Gomes found no help from the river card, dropping to about 65,000.
