WSOP Paradise Schedule in December Includes $50M GTD Super Main Event
Table Of Contents
The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise schedule is out, and it includes 15 gold bracelet events highlighted by the largest guaranteed poker tournament prize pool ever.
All the action takes place at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas from Dec. 3-13. The series will, for the second straight year, compete directly with the World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship festival at Wynn Las Vegas.
Breaking Records
Tournament poker saw its largest guaranteed event last December at Wynn with the WPT World Championship promising at least $40 million in the pot. When registration closed, the prize pool came up a few million bucks short, but the WPT held true to their word and covered the rest.
The WSOP will eclipse that record with a $25,000 buy-in Super Main Event starting Dec. 9 featuring a $50 million guaranteed prize pool. That is the highlight event of the series, but it is far from the only big one. Take, for example, the $500,000 buy-in Triton Million on Dec. 7, an invitational event through Triton Poker.
Each recreational player in the field is permitted to invite one pro to compete. Both players must pay $500,000 to enter the no-limit hold'em super high roller competition. Pros cannot enter the tournament unless they receive an invite from a recreational player. Triton is also hosting a $100,000 Triton Main Event in the Bahamas on Dec. 7, the seventh gold bracelet event of the WSOP Paradise series.
The warm weather poker festival begins Dec. 6 with the $2,500 WSOP Mini Main Event, a $5 million guaranteed tournament. It concludes Dec. 18 with the $5,000 The Closer - NLH Bounty Turbo. There is one other tournament scheduled for the last day of the bracelet series — Super Saver 1M Invitational ($1 million guaranteed), open to bracelet holders who enter the Super Main Event.
