Jaka Sent to the Rail

Level 6 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka

With 275,000 already in the middle the turn read Q625, and Faraz Jaka checked from the big blind to Jim Collopy who fired 85,000. Jaka took a few moments and made the call.

The dealer dropped the 7 on the river and Jaka checked it over to Collopy who asked to see Jaka's stack before splashing 375,000 across the line, which was enough to put Jaka to the test for his remaining 247,000. Jaka went into the tank for about a minute before deciding on a call.

Collopy rolled KQ for top pair and Jaka stood up from his seat as his 1010 was turned face up.

"You know what the odds were of hitting that spade?" tablemate Eric Afriat said to Chong.

"Very low," Chong replied with a smile.
