Parssinen Sends Mercier to the Rail

Level 6 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Eelis Parssinen
Eelis Parssinen

Eelis Parssinen opened the cutoff to 21,000 and Lucas Greenwood called on the button. In the big blind, Jason Mercier three-bet to 79,000. With the action back on Parssinen, he slid a stack of green T-100,000 chips forward to put both players at risk. Greenwood got out of the way while Mercier quickly called to put himself at risk for around 395,000.

Jason Mercier: JJ All in
Eelis Parssinen: A7

Mercier was in good shape to find the double until the A107 flop vaulted Parssinen into the lead. Nothing changed on the K6 runout as Mercier hit the exit in brutal fashion at the hands of Parssinen.

Around 350,000 was already in the middle as Chance Kornuth and Pascal Lefrancois went to the turn on a board of 9J1010.

Lefrancois showed A8 for ace-high, while Kornuth had 88. Lefrancois missed the K river and the dealer confirmed Kornuth had him covered before Lefrancois headed for the exit.

"These are some sick motherf**kers," tablemate Nathanael Kogel said as Kornuth raked in the massive pot.

"So sick," Kogel added well after the next hand had begun.
