The penultimate day of Event #3: $25,000 GGMillion$ High Rollers Championship has concluded at the 2023 World Series of Poker Paradise. The third and final day will resume at 2 p.m. local time at Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas.

After two starting flights and an online flight, the event brought a total of 533 entries to the felt to generate a huge prize pool of $13,325,000. Only 80 players returned to Day 2 in the money and at the end of the day, only eight remained. Each remaining player has locked up $267,500, but all eyes will be on the WSOP bracelet and $2,726,300 first-place prize.

Leading the final eight players is Germany’s Daniel Smiljkovic with just over 51 big blinds when play resumes. Arunas Sapitavicius, Klemens Roiter, Matthew Stumpf, Frank Brannan, Damian Salas, Adrian Mateos, and Samuel Mullur round out the players who will be returning to the final table which is slated to be livestreamed on the GGPoker YouTube channel.

Day 2 Action

The day kicked off with 80 players all in the money and the eliminations came quickly. Some of the players who busted early in the day include Bertrand Grospellier, Justin Bonomo, Ren Lin, Ben Heath, Michael Duek, and WSOP Main Event champions Koray Aldemir and Espen Jorstad.

Mateos miraculously finds himself at the final table, even after having been down to one big blind earlier in the day. In a hand where Erik Seidel rivered a straight, Mateos was left with about 150,000 and spun it back up to return to the final day with an opportunity for a fifth bracelet.

Daniel Negreanu came into the day with hopes of a long-awaited seventh bracelet but he’ll have to wait another day. He got his chips in as a favorite against Sapitavicius, but Negreanu fell behind on the turn and was eliminated in 26th place.

Other notable players who ran deep but fell short of the final table include Artur Martirosian (11th - $164,900), Thomas Muehloecker (13th - $132,800), Daniel Dvoress (18th - $90,700), Erik Seidel (19th - $90,700), Jason Koon (22nd - $90,700), and Seth Davies (24th - $77,000).
