Bagirov Finds the Door

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Renato Minicuci raised to 80,000 from under the gun and Sergey Bagirov called off his last 73,000 from the small blind. The player in the big blind came along as well to see the flop come 789.

The big blind checked and Minicuci jammed, forcing a fold from the big blind and setting up a heads up runout with Bagirov at risk.

Sergey Bagirov: KJ
Renato Minicuci: K8

Minicuci had out-flopped Bagirov, who would need help from the turn or river if he was to survive the hand, but when the turn and river brought the K and 7, Bagirov was pushed toward the exit as Minicuci collected the pot.
