GGPoker Qualifier Dov Markowich Drowned on the River

GGPoker qualifier Dov Markowich raised to 20,000 from the cutoff and received calls from both the button and big blind.

When the flop came down 10♦3♣9♥, the big blind checked, Markowich continued for 3,500, and the button called. The player in the big blind got out of the way and the 7♠ appeared on the turn.

Markowich checked and his opponent bet 3,500. Markowich, who had about 35,000, then woke up with a check-raise to 20,000. The button responded by moving all in and Markowich called off.

Markowich was ahead with the overpair, but his opponent had a pair and open-ended straight draw. Despite Markowich killing some jacks outs, the J♣ spiked on the river to give his opponent the straight.

With that, the GGPoker qualifier's run in the WSOP Paradise Main Event came to a brutal end.
