2012 Aussie Millions Champ Gets Lucky to Stay Alive

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

George Danzer opened for 1,200 from the button only to have 2012 Aussie Millions champ Oliver Speidel three-bet jam for 13,425 from the small blind. Casey Kastle, Slovenia's all-time money winner, then four-bet all in over the top from the big. Danzer laughed a bit before releasing his hand and Speidel discovered he was in a bad spot.

Kastle: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Speidel: {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Kastle woke up with a big pocket pair, and Speidel needed a lot of help to stay alive. Much to the dismay of Kastle, who was visibly annoyed, the flop came down {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} to give Speidel the lead with two pair. Kastle still had some outs, but none of them came as the {4-Hearts} blanked on the turn followed by the {5-Hearts} on the river.
