The Magician Disappears
Antonio Esfandiari, who was coming off a cash in Event #1 $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em Accumulator, jumped straight into Event #2, but back-to-back cashes isn't in his future.
We missed Esfandiari's elimination hand, but Jonathan Little was kind enough to fill us in on what happened. According to him, a player opened for 500 and another called. Esfandiari then three-bet to 1,550 from the big blind, the original raiser moved all in for approximately 5,000, and the limped folded. Esfandiari called off with , but he was dominated as his opponent held . The flop left Esfandiari in need of running aces, but that didn't happen as both the turn and river blanked.
Meanwhile, 2012 Aussie Millions champ Oliver Spiedel has also been eliminated from the tournament.
